The New York Times has
recently reported that rapper
Lil Wayne’s jail sentencing will be once again postponed. This
time Wayne’s sentencing was stalled due to a fire that
broke out in the  Manhattan court building where the sentencing was set
to take place. The delay is only supposed to last until Wednesday
depending on if the court building is free of safety hazards. This is
Wayne’s second delay in one month.

“Carter was
scheduled to be sentenced and jailed on Tuesday afternoon, but the
sentencing may be rescheduled Wednesday, according to Manhattan Supreme
Court Judge Charles Solomon.
The courthouse at 100 Centre
Street was closed Tuesday after a fire broke out in the basement around
10:30 a.m. Court employees speculated that the courthouse could also be
closed on Wednesday, if not longer.”

News Update: According to several reports, Weezy’s sentencing has been postponed until Monday due to several repairs that must take place.

“Wayne’s judge is now ordering his date to be pushed back again so the
courthouse can get the necessary repairs that it needs following the
fire yesterday.“

Weezy’s rep says that Wayne is upset at the delay and is anxious to get the sentencing over with. So far, the sentencing will most likely take place on Monday. We’ll definitely keep you posted on this story.

The Dream and Christina Milian Welcome Baby Girl

On February 26, 2010, R&B singers The-Dream and
Christina Milian welcomed their first child together.
According to reports, the couple welcomed baby girl Violet
Madison Nash at 11:30 p.m. on Friday via c-section. The baby
weighed in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces according to Milian’s
rep who confirmed the birth to Us Weekly.  Baby Violet
is the first child for Milian while Violet
is The-Dream’s fourth child; he has three children
from his previous marriage to R&B singer Nivea. Congrats to the new parents!
