On August 4, The Game
was ordered to stand trial on three felony charges stemming from an
incident in February when he allegedly brandished a gun during a
basketball game.

The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, has been
charged on counts of making criminal threats, possession of a firearm
in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm on the grounds of a facility
for minors. Tuesday a Superior Court commissioner ordered him to be arraigned on September 25.

The
charges stem from an incident on February 24, when, according to the
Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, the rapper got into an
altercation with an opposing player during a basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in South L.A.

After allegedly punching the man, Game went to his red Escalade to retrieve a gun, then threatened to shoot.

The Game is currently free on $50,000 bail. If convicted, the rapper could be sentenced to more than five years in prison.
