So the back and forth begins. The Game just refuses to let this beef go as he recently responded to Jay-Z’s recent “groupie” comment and even went on to explain why Jay would never win a rap battle against him. According to 103 Jams, this is what the Game had to say via a phone interview from Amsterdam:

“There’s one thing about Jay man, let’s not confuse who it is we’re talking about,” Game said in an interview. “This dude is real slick, real witty and I never hated on his legacy or his old music but this new, everything he putting out to date is just trash. We don’t want no parts to it and I feel like a lot of people have been wanting to voice their opinions but nobody has because as soon as I came out with the whole Jay-Z  thing, everybody jumped on. And it even surprised me because I’m thinking everybody with Game just hating but it was like a pretty cool split. Half the people were like Roc-A-Fella this, that and the other half was like Jay-Z old, washed. So, I wouldn’t be on the phone if it wasn’t blown out of proportion at this point…Some people don’t wanna get old…He just old and bitter and when anybody say my name in a rap, I’m gonna lock in…My fans expect me to respond and I ain’t lost a rap beef to date…He just really needs to sit his old a** down somewhere and let the new n*ggas make money…He knows if he goes to war with me, it’s gonna be never-ending. From Joe Budden to Memphis Bleek to Ras Kas to Yukmouth to G-Unit as a staff, record label and group, I’m a one-man army man. I will tear you down. They will stop wearing Roc-A-Wear clothing…If Jay responds with a song, it’ll be on his album because he’s a pretty smart dude, witty, and he knows it’ll benefit him more to put it on The Blueprint, if and when he does, just be on the lookout for ‘400 Bars’ …I’m a really put my pen on the paper and really strike a match.”

Maybe it’s just me but it seems as though there is something much deeper than just Jay saying The Game’s name in a freestyle joint. I don’t understand why he is going out of his way in attempts to “destroy” Jay. According to Reuters Jay speaks on his inability to give up his Hip-Hop spot. But then again, why should he have too? Is it because The Game wants it?

“I hear it all the time — ‘Yo, he should let the young guys, the new generation of guys come in,'” Jay explained in an interview. “But you don’t become the front-runner in music because someone lets you. You have to claim your shoes…If you grow up listening to hip-hop, you love hip-hop and that’s the end of it. But if you’re a 30 year-old rapper still trying to make music like you’re 15, then you’re making it narrow. At my age, I can’t relate to a 15 year-old. I deal with mature and relevant topics for my age group — it has to all be based on true emotions. The more diversity and the more mature we make hip-hop, the bigger the net you cast…Kanye is really the father to the next generation — he’s from the school of Q-Tip, and now Drake and Kid Cudi are from the school of ‘Ye. And, when you look at Kanye, you have to look at Lil Wayne. I think they’re like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.”

Well for now it seems like Jay continues to take the high road, but I’m guessing he does have something up his sleeve. I can’t wait to see what it is!

Nas Forced To Pay Kelis $44k A Month In Child Support

Kelis is really taking Nas to the bank! A judge has reportedly ruled that Nas will have to pay about $44,000 a month in child support to his estranged wife. As if we didn’t already know that was going to happen. According to Us Magazine, the ruling was made July 23, 2009 in Kelis’ favor. Us Magazine reports:

“A day after welcoming a baby boy, the “Milkshake” singer, 29, was awarded nearly $44,000 in monthly support from her ex Nas at a hearing Thursday. He initially asked a court to deny Kelis any spousal support and then proposed paying Kelis a one-time payment of $20,000 until the judge could settle on an appropriate spousal and child support amount at a later hearing. But on Thursday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger rejected the offer, stating that new mom Kelis needed more money per month to accommodate her new lifestyle.”

Kelis didn’t waste anytime with that one! She recently gave birth to their newborn son Knight and has already made sure that money was taken care of! TMZ made reports of the ex-couples new arrival:

“After nearly three days of labor, Kelis gave birth to son Knight Jones last night — and while Nas was not in the delivery room, he was outside and he did get to see his baby. As we first reported, Nas had tried to visit Kelis in the hospital while she was in labor the night before — but was turned away because he was too wasted.”

Well at least he made it! But being there didn’t stop Kelis from taking Nas straight to court. The Associated Press reports:

“Meisinger issued the order at a Thursday hearing. Neither Nas, whose full name is Nasir Jones, nor Kelis, whose full name is Kelis Rogers, attended Thursday’s hearing. Rogers will receive $30,471 in spousal support per month; the couple’s son will receive $9,027, according to the court records.”

Well good luck to the both of you. Perhaps you guys will come to your senses and get back together!!!! Congrats on the new baby!
