L.A. rapper The Game (born Jayceon Taylor) turned himself into L.A.
County Jail Friday night ( February 29) to start his 60 day sentence.
The Game received the sentence as part of a plea deal he made in a
weapons case in which the rapper admitted to brandishing a gun during
a basketball game early last year.

The initial charges for the case
were numerous and included making criminal threats, possessing a
firearm in a school zone, and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of
an officer. However because he took the deal the other charges were
dropped leaving him with only one and having to do the sixty days. The
Game was reportedly in a joking mood while turning himself in and even
stayed in business mode, promoting his upcoming album “LAX coming soon.
Believe that. I’ma takin over everything so y’all can just break your
radio’s” he said to the cameras. He also stated “Hell it’s Friday, I
ain’t got no job, I got nothing else to do but go to jail.” The rapper
explained earlier this year why he  took the plea instead of continuing
to fight the case which had already dragged on for more than nine
months. “I was in a predicament where I’m asking, do I want to spend
another million dollars to fight this trial so who knows what jury’s
gonna come in and say I’m guilty? Or do I want to save my money, go sit
down and accept this felony they’re trying to give me?”

In my opinion
he made the better decision. TMZ has also reported that The Game will
not be in general population and will likely not even serve half of the
sixty days,  but more likely be released early for good behavior.
