When you put the front man of Hip-Hop, Jay-Z, in the Executive Producer seat of a film soundtrack you know big things are about to happen. With news about the film’s music already hitting several different media outlets more than the film itself, you know the soundtrack has got to be something of epic proportions. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Beyoncé and one half of legendary icon group OutKast, André 3000 were set to cover the late Amy Winehouse’s track ‘Back to Black,’ and now the entire tracklisting is revealed.

Big things are happening indeed, just checkout the lineup they have for this fusion of a soundtrack, talk about some heavyweight names.

‘The Great Gatsby’ is a film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel of the same name with Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role and directorial from Baz Luhrmann. The film is set to be released on May 10, 2013. The soundtrack has been set to be released on May 7th. It will be available digitally as a 17-track deluxe edition exclusively at Target. A 14-track physical version will also be available at Starbucks in the U.S. and Canada, and widely, both physically and digitally, at various retailers.
