T.I. Discusses Controversy with Shawty Lo
New York, NY – It seems as the though the controversy between T.I. and Shawty Lo has somewhat subsided. The once infamous feud that led both camps to bump heads at last year’s Dirty Awards has recently come to amends at T.I.’s Club Crucial in Atlanta last Friday (March 6th). Apparently, while T.I. was doing a performance of his ‘Big Things Poppin’ on stage at the club he invited his once arch nemesis to join him in the song, exhibiting to the audience that the beef had ended.
The Bankhead native recently had a sit down with MTV News while he was in the Bronx this past Monday night after speaking to kids at a Boys and Girls Club. Sway asked him about the recent situation with him and Shawty Lo, these were his comments:
“See, I’m a grown man. These situations are not that major for me, you know? It’s always more blown up in the media than it is in my mind. That’s nothing to me. I never even considered it to be a big deal to begin with. So, something like that, I just didn’t do it for publicity. I’m not doing it for the purposes of taking pictures, and for people online to talk about it and people on TV to talk about it. As a man, I don’t mean anybody no harm, I wish everybody the best, I ain’t never been a hater, I congratulate success, and I move on and keep doing what I’m doing.”
When asked about the scuffle that occurred at the Dirty Awards, TIP stated that it was the just the media overexerting the situation moreover than what it really was:
“That word ‘beef’ is used too loosely, to me. ‘Beef’ is kind of like ‘swag.’ People just throwin’ that word around. To me, man, if I don’t mean you no harm, we can’t be beefin’. If I see you, and I don’t attack you, it ain’t no beef, and vice versa. Everything else is just entertainment to me.”
At press time, Shawty Lo has yet to respond or comment about the situation and what occurred at Club Crucial. T.I. will be turning himself into authorities on March 27 to serve his year and a day sentence.
Diddy Discusses Allowing Chris Brown and Rihanna the Use of his Mansion
New York, NY – As the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation continues on further into the news, fans are still bewildered by the sudden reconciliation and the speculation surrounding their marriage. Interestingly enough, all this just so happened to have occurred at Diddy’s estate in Miami Beach’s Star Island. Bottomline, you can’t help but wonder what Diddy had to do with this whole ensemble between the two estranged lovers.
The two vocalists were seen spending some time a couple of weeks ago in what sources say was a joyous occasion. Photographs were taken of Brown on a jetski while Rihanna and friends were poolside at the estate. Those photos eventually leaked to the net where evidence shows that they have reconciled. Somewhere down the line, there were even reports that the two wed at the mansion, which has yet to be confirmed. Either way, the question that still lingers in everyone’s mind, media and fans alike, what was Diddy’s involvement?
We recently got a short answer to that when he was interviewed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. This was his short direct answer when question by DeGeneres about his generous offer to the two young R&B vocalists:
“It’s my house, and I’m allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to, I don’t cast a stone, cast judgment on anybody. So if friends ask me for a favor, then I’m going to be there for a favor as long as I know the energy of the favor is positive.”
At press time, Diddy is in the process of completing his next highly profilic album to a world of anticipating fans. The confirmed set date for the release of the album entitled ‘Last Train to Paris’ will be September 22, 2009. The album will also be accompanied by a DVD of a mini-movie with the same title. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for the official review of the mini-movie and the album.
Chris Brown and Rihanna Back in the Studio
After the all the tension has died down a bit, apparently it’s back to the music. Reports are coming in that both the troubled R&B vocalists are spending their time back in the studio recording new music. Regardless of all the elevated rumors and news reports being written about the two, that hasn’t stopped them from doing what they like to do best, make music.
According to E! News, both Chris Brown and Rihanna have been collaborating on new material with each other and have spent some time in a Santa Monica studio in California working closely with heavyweight producer Polow Da Don. According to sources, it is apparent that Polow persuaded the two to return to the studio and use all the negative energy around them at the moment and turn it into music.
R&B superstar, Akon, who’s no stranger to the law, has even commented about working with Chris Brown regardless of what is going on around him. These were his comments to Huffington Post:
“I wouldn’t take anybody’s personal issues or problems. I won’t hold them accountable for that when it comes to work. I think its two separate things. He’s gonna learn and he’s gonna move forward, and just hopefully he won’t treat the next woman the same way.”
At press time, Chris Brown is set to return to court for his arraignment on April 6, 2009. Both artists are working on their next studio LP at the current moment to be released sometime in the 4th quarter of this year or as early as next year.
