Celebrity reality shows are the new thing to do for stars to help get their name out there and drum up some publicity. Well now T.I. is joining the ranks and will have the camera follow him on his last days as a free man as part of his new reality show on MTV.

The show will focus on all aspects of the rappers life including him completing his community service and the recording and promotion of his new album, Paper Trail. The idea for the show was originally a bit different but after a house visit the shows producers had a different idea. “We began the conversations in the middle of deliberations over what would happen to him,” MTV’s Michael Hirschorn explained. “The original idea for the show had him staging a series of interventions in each episode with people in danger. But when we visited him under house arrest, it felt much bigger and more powerful than we anticipated.”

MTV has already ordered 8 episodes of the show to be produced and broadcasted, with much more likely to come after the first week’s ratings come in. I think this is a good idea as people are curious what is going on with T.I. with all this drama going on and it sounds much better than the fake intervention show they were gonna do. Will you watch the T.I. reality show?
