Atlanta mega superstar T.I. has been set to testify in Cincinnati for his childhood friend and personal assistant Philant Johnson’s death that occurred back in May of 2006. For the past two years the authorities has been working hard to solve this case and finally found a break which leads up to two arrests of two brothers, Padron Thomas and Hosea Thomas. Padron told the authorities that his younger brother Hosea was the killer that night; he also stated that he and his friends stepped to T.I. and his crew because they cut in front of them in the VIP section that night at the club. As T.I. and his entourage left the club in two separate vans, the story goes, they were followed by a green Jeep Cherokee. Shots were fired at the two vans on the freeway leaving Johnson dead and four others injured.

In the Hip-Hop world today, testifying isn’t a good thing; people say you took the stand to land someone in jail. To me, it’s giving the family of Philant Johnson some peace that they know the persons that killed their son is in jail. What if he was a dad? Now his children have no dad in their life.

At press time, it is a speculation whether or not T.I. will testify in the case or not. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for updated news.
