Houston rapper Trae The Truth has always held down his city. Food drives, clothing donations, and everything he can do to help his community, he has proven he is up to answer the call.  This Christmas he is once again providing for those in need and giving out toys and gifts as part of the 3rd annual “Winter Wonderland”. Trae will be donning the red fat man suit and handing out toys to kids as they arrive to the festival which will also provide free food and drinks.

Winter Wonderland will take place at Houston’s Discovery Green Park. Besides the gifts there will be many activities such as ice-skating, horse trolley rides, and a snowman-making contest. The kids who will be receiving these gifts are local school children who have shown the most improvement since the beginning of the school year.

Councilman Jarvis Johnson will be co hosting the event with Trae and also donated the toys which will be given away to the children. He says he hopes this event will inspire other kids to reach for academic success. “By rewarding the academic success of the most improved students, it is my expectation that other students will strive harder next year to achieve the same success,” he said in a statement.

This is the second event like this that Trae has been involved in, as he hosted the Tackle Hunger event last month. In that event he gave away thousands of turkeys to underprivigeled youth in the Houston area. Rappers take note, this is putting on for your city.
