Though details are still sketchy, word is Twista’s Dodge Charger was hit by another car which then left the scene of the crash. The Chi-Town emcee suffered no injuries. He is now home recovering.

“I want to thank all of my fans and supporters for checking in on my health,” Twista said via a statement. “I was the victim of a hit and run car accident this morning but I am home resting comfortably as per the guidance of my doctor. The grind does not stop, as I will shortly be back in front of my fans, giving them the energetic performances they have come to expect from me.”

This doesn’t mark the first time Twista was involved in a car crash. He and his entourage were in a car accident back in 2004. The crew was traveling in Erie, PA’s Interstate 90 when they veered off the road and rolled over in the median.

Arthur Dixon, a member of Twista’s security, died in the crash. The remaining five passengers weren’t seriously hurt.
