Chicago MC and veteran spitter Twista has started his own record label, Get Money Gang, to launch the careers of several underground MC’s as well as his own group, Speed Knot Mobstaz.

The Mobstaz, who are composed of Twista, Liffy Stokes, Mayz and Skooda will be releasing their second LP titled Mobstability II: Nation Bizness on May 27th, followed by a  nationwide tour as part of The Rock the Vote tour. The first single from the groups album is called “Money to Blow” and is making the MTV and BET rounds already.

Twista says the label will mainly focus on getting Chicago talent out to the masses but has room for anyone with real skill.  “I am dedicated to making this GMG label a movement first in Chicago, then nationwide,” Twista said. “If you got real talent and about getting money, then you got a spot at my label.”  He also adds that the label will give rap fans a chance to “hear real music coming from the heart of the Chi.” Twista has not yet commented on any other acts that he is looking to put on the label but says there will be some announcements made soon.
