Representatives from Jive Records recently announced the upcoming album from veteran
rap duo UGK will not be released until early 2007. According
to a spokesperson for Jive, UGK’s highly anticipated seventh studio album, U.G.K.
Underground Kingz, has been pushed back until February 27 to allow proper setup
for the release. The album is the first for the two since Pimp C was paroled last
December.
U.G.K. Underground Kingz will feature appearances from Rick Ross, Slim
Thug, Sleepy Brown, Three 6 Mafia, Willie D, Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane.
The double disc release also includes production from Pimp C, Jazze
Pha, Lil Jon, Swizz Beatz and Scarface. Jive has also confirmed that
the first album’s single will be "The Game Belongs to Me," not "Stop-N-Go"
as initially announced.
U.G.K Underground Kingz hits stores on February 27.
