VH1 Behind the Music Special to Showcase Lil Wayne

New York, NY – The most watched musical documentary on VH1 showcasing the hottest artists of different eras has been revamped and ready to launch with their season launch opening featuring the hottest Hip-Hop artist of this era, Lil Wayne. It was reported sometime last year that the highest rated and most successful television documentary series, ‘Behind the Music,’ was to be revamped and rebroadcasted for new seasons. VH1 producers already had their mindset on showcasing the man that sold over million copies of his latest album in just one week, the diabolical Young Weezy. Of course, Wayne would not falter on such an opportunity, seized the moment.

The season premiere has already been recorded, edited, and scheduled to air as promised with Lil Wayne at the helm of the show’s first airing. The hour long episode will showcase Wayne’s humble beginnings with Cash Money and his raise through stardom with the infamous Hot Boys, until eventually going solo with the successful debut of his ‘Tha Block is Hot.’ He discussed the trials and tribulations he had to go through as a young artist to become the label’s highest selling artist and the musician he is today.

The show made it pivotal to discuss how the first time he actually discontinued writing rhymes in notebooks and ripped on the mic from just the top of the dome:

“The only way I won’t be able to rap anything I’ve written again is to record everything I’ve ever written before once.”

The result of that was a furious recording session that finalized with a 35 minute of 10,000 bars with some distinguished lyrics. That initially caused a huge chain reaction in his rhyming scheme that led to him recording everything without even touching a pen on a paper. His manager Cortez Bryant stated that it changed him as an artist completely. That same rhyming scheme led him to release all three Carter series and a plethora of other mixtape tracks and feature singles.

At press time, the VH1 Behind the Music special of Lil Wayne has been set to air on September 10.

Rick Ross Compliments Eminem, still wants to Battle

The Boss of Miami has been quite verbal of as late, especially when it comes to that of Eminem. Rick Ross has been speaking about battling Slim Shady for quite some time now. Since his victory over 50 Cent, the heavyweight believes he is ready to take on Eminem in a friendly lyrical battle just to see who the better lyricist is. Recently, Ross has been up to date on the diss records between Mariah Carey and Eminem and it seems as though he listens and studies his lyrics real closely.

Ross recently spoke with MTV News about the recent feud between MC and Eminem, he finds it rather humorous.

These were his latest comments on the Shady one:

“You know what my thoughts are, man. We just laugh at it.”

And keeping within the same note, he even added his thoughts on the reason behind Em not responding to a battle request from the Boss and avoiding the request all together:

“He’s smart. That’s what I’m waiting for. That’ll be a gift — a great Christmas present for me. But y’all know what I think. I think everybody knows. It’s all ‘hood, man. Shout-out to Mariah Carey, she needs to reach out to me. We could eradicate some things.”

Either way, the Boss wants Em to know that he is still out here listening to each verse that Em seems to release. He compliments him on the latest verse with Drake on the ‘Forever’ track:

“On a better note, I wanna shout out Eminem. I heard a record he did with Cash Money’s own Lil Wayne and Drake and Kanye West. Eminem, you’re smart. I understand … we all know what you doing now. You’re moving on to better things. Like I said, he might wanna do a record with me. We here. Triple Cs.”

At press time, Ross has been in the studio working on several different projects, up to including the upcoming debut album with his Triple Cs’ entitled ‘Custom Cars & Cycles.’ That album has been scheduled to be officially released sometime this fall on Def Jam and Ross’ own imprint Maybach Music. Before that, check for an upcoming mixtape entitled ‘Maybach Music III: White Sand.’
