Baton Rouge, LA. – Trill Ent. artist Webbie was arrested Monday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for multiple charges after he refused to stop for a routine traffic stop. Webbie, who was born Webster Gradney was driving a 2009 Dodge Challenger and  refused to stop for an officer on I-59 North at 3:30pm after the officer turned on his lights and ordered the rapper to pull over.  Instead of complying, Webbie flushed the gas and weaved in and out of traffic until he crashed into a Mercury Cougar, prompting the officer to call off the chase to assist the injured drivers of the other car. Webbie didn’t slip away completely though as police later found the scraped up Challenger in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart where witnesses say Webster and two other passengers hopped into a 1993 Crown Victoria.

Police of course checked the vehicle records of the Charger and found out Webbie Web was the owner. After putting out a call to be on the lookout for the Crown Vic all the men were quickly apprehended and Webbie was charged with one count of felony eluding, one count of driving under the influence, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Forrest County Regional Jail where it is unclear now whether or not he is still there or in custody at all. No comment has been made by Trill Ent. or any other associates of Webbie.

This is the second case he has caught lately as he also has a pending case for the charge of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle. Man, when Webbie said his whip game was crazy, I thought he meant the selection. I’m starting to get a different kind of picture now though, how about you?
