Poor hip-hop, beefing hasn’t been the same since St. Tupac Shakur and St. Christopher Wallace left us. Ay Dios Mios!

Beefing makes for great diss records until footage is leaked of being on the receiving end of a beatdown.

40 Glocc (government name: Lawrence White) and the Game’s epic beef reached its zenith in early July, when the pair crossed paths at a party in the Hollywood Hills. When the party ended, a battle royale arose between the two outside.

At the time 40 was adamant about not pressing charges. In an interview in July he had these words to say about it.

“The police no damn well I don’t give no motherfucking statements. Like I said this shit is entertainment. Ain’t no motherfucking statements. Ain’t no charges pressed. Just keep it 100 with me like that though.”

Unfortunately for 40, the Game failed to take heed his advice of “keep it 100,” and caused a change of heart.

Also unfortunate for both parties, the brawl was caught on video. I see you technology.

In the wake of the incident, Game’s camp released footage of the rapper serving 40 Glocc a can of whoop ass while recording it on his iPhone.

Sidebar: If the Game has learned anything from 50 Cent it’s how to properly humiliate a man and subsequently tarnish his hood pass. Let’s all take a moment of silence to indirectly pay thanks to 50 Cent.

In turn, 40 filed a lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court against his rap peer over the incident.

If you’re keeping score in terms of street code, score one hundred points for the Game. In terms of judicial code, score a thousand points for 40 Glocc.

The lawsuit cites 40 was caused bodily harm, and is seeking an unspecified amount as well as irreparable damage to his reputation and image as a rapper.

Children, the Word of the Day is ‘assault.’ Shall we use it in a sentence? Sentence: The Game is being sued by 40 Glocc for assault and battery.

According to the Game, he ran into 40, promptly handed him a one-on-one beatdown then left, while 40 refutes via court documents that he was jumped by 15 men–many of whom drew guns on him–“for no reason.” He claims he tried to escape but the Game pointed the gun at his chest. He also said he warned him not to fight back or he would “end it right now.”

The lawsuit reads 40 was severely injured as a result of the altercation, suffering injury to his right eye, ribs, kidneys, right shoulder and back along with his face, head, legs, arms and hands.

Wow: absolutely tragic.

However, a source close to the Game (whom?) maintains that the rapper, nor his entourage, pulled weapons on 40 Glocc, insisting it was “a one-on-one fight.”

Somewhere, 50 Cent is laughing from the depths of his soul.

Hopefully, Rihanna and Karrueche are taking notes.
