Young Jeezy Credits Ex-Falcon Michael Vick
Scranton, PA – Ex-Atlanta Falcon, the once talented and proud quarterback since his debut in 2001 has returned to the NFL after his July 20 release from prison and the commissioner’s decision to reinstatement him, Michael Vick has paid his dues to society and is ready to suit up and play for a second time, regaining his spotlight. One Atlanta native is quite enthused that the former Falcon QB has returned to the game and even while on tour with Young Money on the America’s Most Wanted Music Tour, it seems as though Young Jeezy had some time to spare to speak on Michael Vick and his recent release and reinstatement into the NFL. As an avid football fan, he is also close friends with some of NFL’s finest.
On his tour bus in Scranton, Pennsylvania during the beginning dates of the tour, he spoke to MTV News crediting Vick’s return. Jeezy stated that him and Vick recently spoke on the phone and had a heart to heart conversation about his returning to the game.
These were his comments:
“That’s my dude. I just talked to Michael Vick. Welcome back. I’mma just be real. I’m not saying this to be funny. I know ’em all, from Pacman Jones to Michael Vick. Sometimes keeping it real becomes keeping it dumb. It’s hard enough in that position that they in. You can’t keep a good dude down. He bounced back. We gonna wish him the best and tell him to stay out the strip club unless you’re rolling with me.”
Jeezy continues to state that benching Vick until week six is overdoing the penalty and the punishment. He sides with him and understands his mistakes:
“But you know what, I got dogs, so I feel the pet owners, but sometimes we as a people, we come up harsh and rugged and we get excitement out of things like that, and it might not be the right thing. I don’t think it was worth him losing everything he had and not being able to take care of his people around him. He was punished. He went to jail. A lot of cats don’t even go to jail. But he went to jail, did his time, he’s home. He paid his debt to society. Give him a football and some Gatorade, and let’s get it.”
During that same phone conversation, Jeezy says that Vick is focused and ready and has a gameplan as soon as he returns to the field to begin his second chance of regaining his spotlight to the top:
“He’s ready, that’s what we was talking about. We was talking about the ‘Welcome Back’ song. And he was saying he was focused. Me, personally, I just hate that he can’t go back to Atlanta. I don’t remember going to football games unless he was playing. I never been to a football game, by the way, that he didn’t play in. My city needs him.”
At press time, Vick was recently released from his contract with the Atlanta Falcons even though he was apparently signed until 2013. The falcons are looking into a trade for Vick. According to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Vick will not step on the field until week six of the 2009 NFL season.

Mariah Carey Discusses ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’
New York, NY – MC’s new album has taken anticipation to a new higher level as we continue to draw close to the release date as the days pass. With every single album she drops, the production and the lyricism has alwaysmade the album certifiable to reach platinum status in just a short period of time especially with the numerous amounts of dedicated fans she has collected over years she has dominated the game.
She recently spoke to MTV News about her upcoming album and the production that was put together the new project. These were her comments:
“I worked with Timbaland for the first time, I’m a fan of Timbaland’s, so I enjoyed it. [The song] hasn’t even been mixed yet but I think it’s really cool. I worked with Big Jim Wright, who works with Sounds of Blackness a lot, and so there’s live-feeling songs on the album. A lot of my fans, since I’ve been twittering, a lot of the fans are like, ‘We want some live-sounding stuff,’ so you have to find that middle ground.
I worked with JD again, I always love working with Jermaine. Every time it’s just … it reminds me of the first time we worked together, which was ‘Always Be My Baby.’ Once you do a song like that and you have it forever, you wanna just continue to try and re-create that magic, so that’s what we do.”
Between both Timbaland and Jermaine Dupri, look forward to a plethora of hits. Now while she did state that it is her first time working with Timbaland on different tracks, this isn’t the first time she’d work with JD. The Atlanta native has produced chart toppers such as ‘Sweetheart’ and ‘We Belong Together.’ The recent single ‘Obsessed,’ allegedly targeted at Eminem, was produced and arranged by The Dream and Tricky Stewart. Now if the album continues on the same path that ‘Obsessed’ provided, then it will be full of power ballads. If this continues, MC will be looking at yet another multi-platinum selling record.
At press time, ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’ will be her twelfth studio album officially set for a September 15 release date in the U.S. with an August 24 and 26 release for England and Japan.
