Set to hit stores Dec. 20 is Young Jeezy's Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition. The rapper recently talked with DJ Whoo Kid about the album, its features, his single with T.I. and politics, among a few other topics.
Three minutes into the interview, Whoo Kid asks, "Do you still support Obama?" Jeezy says, "I definitely support him. I felt like he did his thing." This segment of their talk refers to the Snowman's 2008 hit "My President," which favored America's current leader, despite Jeezy's previous statements–made originally in Vibe–that he fucked with then-presidential nominee John McCain.
After a small marketing move/mind change, the rapper soon took to the streets/radio waves declaring things like "I used to run my block like Obama and them." Interviewed, he tells Whoo Kid that he's "a leader" as well as "the people's champ," and communicates universal strife saying "the world is my trap."
He also talked about his new album, TM103, comparing it to Dr. Dre's The Chronic and 50 Cent's debut, Get Rich Or Die Tryin'. It will feature the likes of Jill Scott, Fabolous, Jadakiss, and a threesome with Jay-Z and Andre 3000 on a track called "I Do." Interestingly, Jeezy also revealed that Eminem will be on the album, though it's currently unknown where.
But don't go thinking this is an album made only to boast its guest appearances–Jeezy told Whoo Kid that "these are collaborations…We did 'em together." So the other contributors he mentioned–like perpetual thug Trick Daddy–perhaps helped with writing? Listen to the interview
