The film, which is due in theaters next year, stars Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Leslie Nielsen, Carmen Electra, Chris Elliott and Shaquille O’Neal, among others. The ATL-based duo will be appearing in the film as themselves.

J-Bo, one-half of the duo, said via a statement that he hopes this appearance will be the “jump off for bright acting careers for YoungBloodZ.”

J-Bo’s partner Sean Paul also expressed excitement and added that “this is just one of the many ways we are expanding our horizons as artists.”

Not putting all their eggs in one basket, the group is also in the process of opening a Cuban restaurant in midtown Atlanta, in addition to a production company and record label, YBZ Records.

Meanwhile, YoungBloodZ’s third album, Ev’rybody Know Me, will be released December 13 on Jive Records.
