Where I grew up it was mainly a lot of underground parties where ppl would showcase their skills since mainly the area was more focused on Mainstream Music Only. House Parties and Local shows would usually be the only place to actually spread the word and let people know who you where. We used to go hard with home made mixtapes and spread copy after copy just to get a name but even then it was damn near impossible to get a following going. I was born in Vallejo and raised in Fairfield CA. Fairfield is a different little city but its packed full of talented people. It’s very diverse in Fairfield as well being that most of the people are coming from the bay area also the air force base in the city. So I think it was the perfect mix for me growing up. Growing up I always loved music especially around the time 50 cent came out. Right away I was inspired by 50’s music and business mind because I was never dumb with money and was smart enough at a young age to keep in mind that I will attend college some day, so 50 Cent being street and smart really appealed to me and helped me relate even more.
