Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is poking fun of his rival rapper Rick Ross after the latter was recently dropped as a spokesperson for Reebok sports apparel. Ross was dropped following backlash from his lyrics that seemed to condone rape.

After the recent announcement that Rapper Rick Ross would be dropped as a spokesperson for Reebok, 37-year-old Jackson took to Twitter.

“I hear Reebok are looking for a new face,” 50 Cent wrote on a Twitter photograph of himself laughing with actor Denzel Washington. “They keep trying to hate on me too.”

Reebok released a statement about their decision to cut ties with the 37-year-old rapper hailing from Miami, Fla.

“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so,” Reebok said in a statement to Billboard. “While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse. At this time, it is in everyone’s best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross.”

Reebok’s statement follows weeks of protesting online and in front of the brand’s flagship store after the release of his appearance on fellow rapper Rocko’s song “U.O.E.N.O.” In the song, Ross speaks about drugging a woman with a drug made popular in the rap industry- molly.

“Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it,” Ross rapped in the song.

Ross released an official apology for his lyrics after the song sparked outrage from the public.

“Before I am an artist, I am a father, a son, and a brother to some of the most cherished women in the world. So for me to suggest in any way that harm and violation be brought to a woman is one of my biggest mistakes and regrets,” the star rapper said in a statement released to the Associated Press on Friday.
