Justin Timberlake’s new album ‘The 20/20 Experience’ recently dropped to a worldwide collection of eager and anticipating fans. Timberlake is one of the very few artists who can take a 7 year hiatus and return like he never left, his truly devoted fans made sure of that. ‘The 20/20 Experience’ has already sold over a million copies in just a short period of time. This album marks his second number one album on the charts, selling 963,000 units it’s first week of sales.

With literally a month out the gate, JT is already focusing on the release of the sequel to his recent hit. Timbaland protege, J-Roc, recently spoke with Billboard about new music for the second installment.

These were his comments:

“Before we came to the 10 [songs] that he wanted and the two bonus tracks, we had over 30, 40 tracks, so I think he’s going to go in, and we’re going to take some of the stuff that we’ve already done, and of course create more music at the same time.”

Apparently, the music for 20/20 has been recorded over a period of time and the lot of the tracks were either put on this album or awaiting to make the cut for the next. According to J-Roc, JT’s current single ‘Mirrors’ was recorded back in 2009, but released in 2013 with a different feel.

“We segued each piece to go into another song, so if you were to break it up, that second part of ‘Mirrors’ is like a song by itself. Once we got all the songs that [Timberlake] knew he wanted on this album, then that’s when we began to tie everything together, and the second part just fell in order.”

As of now, Timberlake has decided to embark on a tour alongside his ‘Suit & Tie’ collaborator Jay-Z entitled ‘Legends of Summer’ tour set to commence on July 17 in Toronto, Canada.

At press time, 20/20 Vol. 2 has been scheduled for release in November.
