Last month, Breitling announced plans to help fund the restoration of its legendary “Super Constellation” aircraft – one of the world’s three remaining flight-worthy “Super Connies.” To secure the finances for this ambitious project, Breitling has released this limited edition model of the Navitimer Aviation Chronograph watch. Featuring a stainless steel, 42mm case with AR-coated sapphire crystal, the self-winding, high-frequency device boast a Swiss automatic Breitling caliber 23 movement and is water resistant up to 30 meters. Bearing an inscription on the dial that reads “Breitling Super Constallation,” the watch has a golden “B” logo that’s reminiscent of the one used by the company back in the 1950s. Limited to only 1,049 pieces (a tribute to the Lockheed L-1049), the watch comes also with several different strap bracelet combinations including Barenia, crocodile leather, an Air Racer bracelet or the Nativer bracelet(via Hypebeast.com).
