This week on the Billboard lineup, Jamie Foxx takes the number 1 spot with his club hit single ‘Blame It’ which also features the talents of T-Pain. This track has literally been on the charts for 9 weeks straight and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of decline, fans seem to be crazing the creation from the duo. Not only did this actor turned singer snatch the number 1 spot, he also claimed the second spot as well with his other single featuring Ne-Yo and Fabolous called ‘She Got Her Own.’ You got to admit, Foxx is doing his thang on a high level.
Two R&B starlets hold down the third, fourth, and fifth spot as they take center stage with their catchy singles that the fans, especially the ladies, are hype over. One artist being a veteran while the other is the rookie in the game. Beyonce takes the third and fifth spot with ‘Diva’ and ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’ as they have graced the charts in consecutive weeks. Newcomer, Keri Hilton, takes fourth place with the Timbaland produced track ‘Turnin’ Me On,’ that has been on the charts for 12 weeks straight.
The radio killa, The Dream takes control with his ‘Rockin’ That Thang,’ the first single off of his new album. This is literally murdering the radio scene and the clubs, it can be heard everywhere. He places sixth place on the charts just above Kanye West’s seventh spot ‘Heartless’ which has been on the charts for the past 17 consecutive weeks.
Jamie Foxx reigns supreme yet again with another single, this time around he recruits the talents of T.I. in the certified hit ‘Just Like Me.’ It has peaked at number 8 for the past several weeks.
Now this new Jim Jones song is a step up from his ‘Ballin’ single he released years back. This new turn in his music career he picks up Ron Browz and includes his brethren Juelz Santana and you have a hit that involves popping champagne in the club all night. The new President of A&R at Koch has another hit on his hands peaking in at number 9, escalating up and down through the charts. Musiq Soulchild and the beautiful talents of Mary J. Blige fill the last spot with their hit single ‘IfULeave,’ both artists add a different, yet acceptable, element to the track making it genuine and original.
And of course, Jamie Foxx’s ‘Intuition’ is the number 1 album on the charts for past several weeks above Keyshia Cole’s ‘A Different Me’ and Beyonce’s ‘I Am Sasha Fierce.’
Congratulations to Jamie Foxx and all the artists to grace the Billboards for this week.
