Our beloved Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts opens up to us and exposes a big secret, and we are proud of you. One year after receiving a life altering bone marrow transplant from a battle with Myelodysplastic syndrome and breast cancer Roberts wrote special update/message on her Facebook wall on Sunday for her friends, family and especially her life partner.

Roberts wrote:

“At this moment I am at peace and filled with joy and gratitude, I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together,” I am grateful to God, my doctors and nurses for my restored good health. I am grateful for my sister, Sally-Ann, for being my donor and giving me the gift of life. I am grateful for the many prayers and well wishes for my recovery. I return every one of them to you 100 fold.”

So, here’s the scoop; “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts long time girlfriend of ten years name is Amber Laign and she is a licensed massage therapist from the San Francisco Bay. Now according to People magazine.

Robin René Roberts is 53 years old and was a sportscaster on ESPN for 15 years before her co-anchor opportunity on Good Morning America, Ms. Roberts took time off to focus on her bone marrow transplant and has been back on Good Morning America since early 2013. In 2001 Roberts received the Mel Greenberg Media Award. Roberts was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Hall’s class of 2012 for her contributions to and impact on the game of women’s basketball. Grand Central Publishing announced Roberts will write a memoir telling the story of her battle with the life-threatening illness

In 2007, Roberts was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. In 2012, Roberts was also diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), which is a bone marrow disease. Through the ups and down Ms. Roberts held her up high and has made her fans very proud.
